2017 is over. Long live 2018!

Like every year we asked our friends about their last year and prodded them for some foresight into the next year. Considering how varied this “beer thing” is, it’s no surprise the answers were equally varied. However, looking through the answers, it becomes crystal clear that one topic moved our friends, it itself being rather murky though. So, before we head any deeper into 2018, let’s quickly have a look back.

The tranquil beer scene was in an uproar when news of Evil Twin’s visit to beer café Au Trappist made the rounds. We bristled at the Evilness and ventured to a table with Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergsø of Evil Twin. In the interview we talk about Beerhunter, his knowledge of Switzerland, the secret collabo – about which we know nothing, of course -, sources of inspiration and Michael Jackson.

Interview with Jérôme Rebetez von Brasserie des Franches-Montagnes (BFM)

Somewhere close to the edge of the world, or at least the edge of Switzerland, is Jura and here you’ll find the Brasserie des Franches-Montagnes, better known as BFM. The brewery of Jérôme Rebetez is the only Swiss brewery with a global reputation and with his Abbaye de Saint Bon-Chien, BFM brews a modern classic. Therefore this trip to BFM was like a pilgrimage for us.
